Upload your PDF, choose the page, and click "+ Add text" or "▭ Cover area" as many times as you need: each element is dragged with the blue circle and deleted with the red cross; cover areas can also be resized from the corner. When you save, the text is embedded for real (not an image) and the covered areas are hidden under a white rectangle. Everything happens in your browser: the file is never uploaded to any server.
