How to number the pages of a PDF

Upload your PDF, choose which corner you want the number in, whether you prefer the simple format ("1, 2, 3…") or "Page 1 of N", and which number to start counting from. If your document has a cover, you can tick the box so that first page doesn't have a printed number, while still counting toward the total. Everything happens in your browser: the file is never uploaded to any server.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to any server?

No. The whole process happens in your own browser, so your files never leave your device: they're not uploaded, not stored, and nobody sees them.

Is it free? Are there any limits?

Yes, it's free, with no watermarks and no sign-up. The free plan supports files up to 10 MB (and up to 5 at a time in the tools that combine several PDFs); MásPDF Pro removes those limits.

Do I need to install anything or create an account?

No. It works right in your browser, on desktop or mobile. You can also install it as an app and use it offline.

Can I choose where the numbers go?

Yes. You can choose the position and format of the page numbering.
